ช่วง 2 ปีที่ผ่านมามีอีเมลล์และโทรศัพท์เข้ามาสอบถามอยู่เรื่อยๆเกี่ยวกับการดูแลรักษาเหรียญ ผมก็ได้ตอบไปตามความรู้และประสบการณ์ที่มี ทำให้ผมเกิดความคิดที่จะถ่ายทอดวิธีการเก็บรักษาเหรียญต่างๆ เป็นลายลักษณ์อักษรซึ่งปกติจะมีเพียงการถ่ายทอดกันปากต่อปาก ทำให้ความรู้ในด้านนี้ไม่แพร่หลาย และนักสะสมไม่สามารถหาข้อมูลได้ การเขียนบทความนี้ผมหวังว่านักสะสมหลายๆท่านจะได้ใช้เป็นข้อมูลในการศึกษาและนำไปปฎิบัติได้จริง ซึ่งจะทำให้มีความสุขในงานอดิเรกที่ท่านรักได้มากขึ้น บทความนี้เป็นบทความแรกที่ผมจะเขียนเกี่ยวการดูแลรักษา จึงขออธิบายลักษณะทั่วๆไปของเหรียญประเภทต่างๆก่อนนะครับ

เหรียญทองคำ จะมีราคาหน้าเหรียญตั้งแต่ 1500 บาท ขึ้นไป จนถึง 16000 บาทครับ รุ่นแรกๆจะใส่ซองพลาสติกแต่พอปีหลังๆมาใส่ตลับอย่างดีเหมือนเหรียญเงินครับ น้ำหนักจะแบ่งออกเป็น 3.25 , 7.5 , และ
